My leadership journey began my senior year of high school when I decided to pursue every available leadership opportunity and aim for Valedictorian. Although I didn't achieve Valedictorian, I rose from 13th to 2nd place in just nine months and proudly delivered our commencement speech. Addressing a group I respected and cherished set the wheels in motion for my future. Being selected as “Most Likely to Succeed” and “Most Dependable,” and serving as Class President, Student Council Vice-President, and National Honor Society President, solidified my desire to lead teams to win through a shared purpose.

These experiences taught me that it's never too early or too late to set ambitious goals, dive in headfirst, and pave the way for future success while helping others achieve more than they thought possible. Over the last 20 years, I've continued to grow and evolve, driven by the same grit, passion, and determination. Women who empower women are my people.

Emergency department Nurse

I began my career as an ER nurse and, after just 11 months, ventured into travel nursing. Talk about scared! Leaving my life in Alabama behind, I traveled across the U.S. for four years, gaining a deep appreciation for different cultures and embracing new experiences.

MILESTONE MOMENT #1 broadened my perspective far beyond my small Alabama hometown, revealing a world full of opportunities and endless possibilities for those willing to take a leap of faith.

Founded A TRAVEL NUSE COMPANY

I firmly believe in taking charge and making things happen. At age 23, with no prior business experience, I founded Travel Care, Inc. and successfully built a travel nurse company where I hired contract nurses who worked across the U.S.

MILESTONE MOMENT #2 provided a comprehensive crash-course in how to build a successful business, land high-paying contracts, and lead virtually before virtual was even a thing.

Pharmaceutical representative

I made the leap from Nursing to Industry, determined to forge my own path despite having no network to support me. Using online search engines, I secured my first sales rep position at Lilly as a diabetes sales representative.

MILESTONE MOMENT #3 provided insight on navigating office politics and learning how to set myself apart from the competition. I’d say this is when I learned the importance of branding.

Medical science liaison

After completing my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (paid for by Lilly), I made another leap and entered the world of Medical Affairs at AstraZeneca (who paid for my Doctor of Nursing Practice) and then moved over to Sanofi where career development was abundant.

MILESTONE MOMENT #4 Transitioning from Commercial to Medical provided a new opportunity to engage both internal and external stakeholders in a completely new way, focusing on science to improve peoples’ lives.

Global Medical Excellence

Stepping out of my comfort zone once again, I dove headfirst into a completely new role at Sanofi, gaining behind-the-scenes insights into Medical strategy and operations. This position provided invaluable internal networking opportunities and equipped me with strategic skills and project management experience essential for leading teams.

MILESTONE MOMENT #5 propelled me to the next level, positioning and preparing me to tackle the biggest, most challenging and most rewarding role of my career.

Straight from the frying pan into the fire, baptism by fire, sink or swim—these sayings perfectly describe my next adventure. This once-in-a-lifetime, life-changing, career-enhancing role accelerated my growth as a confident leader and challenged me to my very core. It was the turning point of my life, both professionally and personally.

I'll share more about this in greater detail but know that this experience is why I'm here today, coaching women leaders like YOU. My mission is to ensure you embrace and love yourself as you are, while striving to grow and become all that the Lord designed you to be.
